Mable Speech Therapists head down to London for the 2019 BETT Awards Show

29th January 2019

This year our Speech and Language Therapists attended the prestigious 2019 annual BETT Awards in London on the 23rd January, for Mable’s finalist nomination in the category of Special Education Needs Solutions.

The nomination follows the Mable Speech and Language therapy programme which provides innovative gamification therapy for children and young adults.

Martha, Alicia and Emily headed down to London to prepare for a night of glitz and glamour.

The BETT awards, now in its 21st year, aims to recognise unique creativity in businesses and products that specialise in accommodating to the important factors surrounding SEND.

The BETT Awards was also a fantastic opportunity for Mable to engage and network with other TechEd company’s such as Kano  and Play Trinity Rock and Pop  who were also finalists at the show.

Secretary of State for Education, Damian Hinds, presented the first two awards, and Marcus Brigstocke hosted the rest of the night, ensuring it was an all round entertaining evening for the 630 people that attended.

Unfortunately, we missed out on the award this year to Cricksoftwear’s ‘DocsPlus’. A well deserved win! However, this year’s nomination comes as a great credit to Mable after the hard work and research that helped to build the programme.

The nomination also adds to a growing list of accomplishments for Mable, including being awarded joint winner of the SLCN Innovation Award at the 2017 Shine a Light Awards.

With this nomination added to our metaphorical belts, we are very excited for the coming year and the opportunities it may bring!
