Low Mood

We can all suffer with low mood at times, but if a pupil’s behaviour has changed and they seem to be low more frequently, they may need additional help. Early support can help to prevent clinical depression or generalise anxiety disorder. On this pathway our counsellors will use solution-focused techniques to help the pupil explore the root of their low mood and reframe any negative thoughts. They’ll work on building resilience and self-esteem so they will feel more positive and able to cope with adversity.
